The Family Court has Registries in all states and territories with the exception of Western Australia. A wide variety of positions exist within the Court, including roles as Judicial Officers, Registrars, Family Consultants, Judical and Legal Associates, and Client Service Officers. Many positions offer opportunites for career development and advancement to team leader, supervisory and management roles.
The Court’s corporate section, which is located at the National Support Office in Canberra, is composed of several key areas which support the key business of the Registries. These areas include Financial Accounting, Budgets and Business Improvement, Property & Contracts, Human Resources, Information Technology, Communications and Security.

Salary and Benefits
- Courtflex – a system that allows employees (up to the level of APS 6) to take time off in lieu for any hours worked over the core hours of 37 ½ hrs per week
- Competitive salaries with increment advancements and salary increases as detailed in the
Family Court of Australia Enterprise Agreement 2011-2014
