Queensland Dad desperately seeking help to locate missing children, Shane and Nicholas Smith - June 2012

A father from Queensland has not seen his two young sons since November 2011 and he is now calling on public assistance to provide any information that may help in the recovery of the children.

The Family Court of Australia has issued a publication order in this case which allows photographs and some details of the parties to be published.

Shane Smith and his brother Nicholas Smith are believed to be with their mother, Julia Smith and they were last seen on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. There are a number of vehicles that they may be travelling in, which include: Blue Toyota Corolla (late 1980’s model), Burgandy Musso 4x4 (mid 1990’s model) and a White Holden Commodore (mid 1980’s-90’s model).

Shane Joe Edward Douglas Smith was born 1 September 2005, currently 6 years old. He has dark brown hair, hazel coloured eyes and is of slender build.

Nicholas Steven Kenton Joel Smith was born 26 December 2006, currently aged 5 years old. Nicholas has light brown / dark blonde hair with blue eyes and is of a medium build.

The mother, Ms Julia Esme Karen Smith is 33 years old, born 12 August 1978. She has dark brown coloured hair which is medium in length. She is 175cms and weighs approximately 100 kgs.

The Family Court issued a recovery order on 10 February 2012 authorising all members of the Australian Federal Police and the State and Territory Police Forces and the Marshal of the Family Court of Australia to recover the children and the recovery order has not yet been executed.
