Mental Health Support Pilot Project - August 2006

On 12 October 2004, the Family Court of Australia signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the federal Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA) to initiate a Mental Health Support Project (MHSP). Under this agreement, DOHA provided funding out of the Australian Government's National Suicide Prevention Strategy to pilot a variety of approaches to improve mental health support to clients of the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Magistrates Court (the Courts).
